You Nerd!!

A few weeks ago, we were having dinner with someone I've just met not too long ago. Speaking very animatedly, she made a casual remark about her colleagues in the advertising firm that she is in.

"Their jokes are very lame. Especially the copywriters."

Puzzled, I asked her to elaborate.

"They're very nerdy. They like, you know, wordplay."

I noticed the slight disdain in her voice as she said 'wordplay'. I flinched, then laughed it off. After twenty-over years of vehement denial, it's time to admit that, yes, I am a nerd and proud of it.
