Death of the Chrysanthemums.

If you're already feeling vulnerable, please do not pay that money to watch Curse of the Golden Flower.

Grotesquely wasted chrysanthemum flowers that when dried could probably feed the whole of China and Russia, insane
portrayal of the grandeur of the Palace, extremely violent battle scenes not in terms of bloods and gore but in terms of the humanity of war, an uglily styled Jay Chou (but so suave, he was).

Zhang Yimou is mad. After trying to understand all the mad struggle for power and the scenes of mass killing, I left the cinema theatre all shooked up. It's such a cold world.

Maybe I should have watched it on another day.
