"I'd rather fight with you than make love with anyone else."
Puke.
DON'T watch The Wedding Date. Not if you wanna be sickened to death by the mushy and totally clichèd lines as illustrated in the title above. I couldn't resist a loud and raunchy "Awww" when that line came sprouting out of male lead Dermot Mulroney's mouth. Thank goodness he's dishy enough to carry it off or I would really have the entire half digested Hong Kong Iced Red Bean with Ice Cream from Ah Chew's Dessert at Liang Seah in front of me. The reason why we watched it was because of Debra Messing. She's not really a big screen actress (yet), but J and I love her because of Will & Grace. And J's a totally corny rom-com person. (now we know who wears the pants in the relationship)
[Can someone tell me why the cinema at Bugis was so empty despite it being a Saturday night? There were less than 20 people in the theatre and it was a biiiiig theatre. I hope it's only because the stars weren't famous enough and not some... ] Anyway, the only good thing about the movie was the soundtrack. Actually, Universal's not intending to come up with a soundtrack album for the movie cuz they used really old songs. But they're nice. Here's a gem :
Home - Michael Bublè
Another summer day is come and gone away
In Paris and Rome
But I wanna go home Mmmmmmmm
Maybe surrounded by a million people
I still feel all alone I just wanna go home
Oh I miss you, you know
And I’ve been keeping all the letters that I wrote to you
Each one a line or two “I’m fine baby, how are you?”
Well I would send them but I know that it’s just not enough
My words were cold and flat and you deserve more than that
Another aeroplane Another sunny place
I’m lucky I know
But I wanna go home
Mmmm, I’ve got to go home
Let me go home
I’m just too far from where you are
I wanna come home
And I feel just like I’m living someone else’s life
It’s like I just stepped outside
When everything was going right
And I know just why you could not come along with me
But this was not your dream
But you always believe in me
Another winter day has come and gone away
And even Paris and Rome
And I wanna go home
Let me go home and I’m surrounded by a million people
I still feel alone
Oh, let go home
Oh, I miss you, you know
Let me go home
I’ve had my run
Baby, I’m done
I gotta go home
Let me go home
It will all right
I’ll be home tonight
I’m coming back home
